Saxon Merino is a strain of Merino sheep bred specifically for the fineness of its fleece. Ours has been developed over 35 years to produce an ultra-fine fibre with a micron count of 16.8 and lower, which means it is soft enough for next-to-skin wear.

Every skein starts on Bellevue Park, our family farm on the Rocky Plains in the Snowy Mountains, NSW. The Fletcher family has farmed this area since 1862, and Bellevue Park has been in the family since 1919.

Yes. Our yarn is hand-dyed in small batches, which means every skein has its own subtle variation. We also offer factory-dyed and natural undyed lines for those who prefer a more consistent colourway.
