Patterson's Curse is a rich purple, it is one of our original hand dyed colours and has stood the test of time. Named after the common Patterson's Curse weed covered in tiny vivid purple flowers. Inspired by the vast purple carpeted paddocks of the Riverina.

All our hand dyed yarns are done in small batches on the farm, no two skeins are ever quite the same, and it is this variation you get that makes it so special. This is wool with a paddock and a family name behind it.

We recommend with all our products that they be gently hand washed, spun out and then laid flat to dry. This gives the best longevity to your finished project

This wool started as a Saxon Merino grazing the high plains of the Snowy Mountains. It took thirty-five years of careful breeding to reach this quality, and every skein carries the mark of that patience.

At 16 micron and below, this yarn sits firmly in the ultra-fine category. It is soft enough for next-to-skin wear and strong enough for heirloom work, with the elasticity to hold its shape and drape well over time.
